This really happened.. today

You know that it’s 2013 when a small child – say 5 or 6 years of age – on the upper level of the coffee shop you’re in is whining, begging and bargaining in an endless loop – not for cake, a milkshake or a smoothie – no, it’s like this:

“I need coffee – coffee, Mommy, coffee – I NEED COFFEE, Mommy – please, Mommy….”

Seriously.
And I have a feeling that the small character in question has had enough coffee to last her short lifetime – maybe the coffee she had before coming out is the real problem?

Suddenly, Dylan Moran’s observation that modern children don’t run around screaming, playing and fighting at birthday parties anymore – instead they lie around on the lawn suffering from migraines after too many cuppachinos – isn’t as far-fetched as I thought it was.
